Before and after

Where a mock test day takes your time.

Your centre already does all of this. Here is how each job goes today, and how it goes with Institify.

  • Writing the test

TodayWord files in a shared folder, and nobody is sure which is the latest.

With InstitifyYou save each question once and reuse it. New tests are built from questions you already have.

  • Test morning

TodayInvigilators walk the room looking for phones and open browser tabs.

With InstitifyEach computer is locked to the test before the student sits down.

  • Something looks wrong

TodayIt comes down to one person's word against another's.

With InstitifyThe test record shows the time, what was flagged and what the invigilator decided.

  • Writing and Speaking

TodayExaminers spend their evenings adding up scores by hand.

With InstitifyThe system suggests a band. Your examiner checks it and decides.

  • Sending results

TodaySpreadsheets, emails and a week of calls from parents.

With InstitifyYou publish results when you are ready. Each student gets a PDF report with your name on it.

See how each part works

How a test runs

From the first question to the final band.

It all happens in one system, so nobody has to copy names or marks from one file to another.

  1. Write your tests

Add Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking questions once and reuse them as often as you like. You see each test exactly as a student will before anyone sits it.

    • Reusable questions
    • Student's-eye preview
    • Audio and images
  2. Add your students and staff

Put students into batches at each branch. Every person sees only what their job needs: a branch manager sees their own branch, and an examiner sees the scripts waiting for them.

    • Branches and batches
    • Fees per batch
    • Staff roles
  3. Run the test on locked computers

Students sit the test in our desktop app. It stops them opening other apps, taking screenshots or switching windows, and anything unusual is flagged for an invigilator to look at.

    • Locked desktop app
    • Camera checks
    • Live view of every seat
  4. Send out the results

Reading and Listening are marked as soon as the test ends. Writing and Speaking go to your examiners with a suggested band, and they make the final call. Then every student gets a report.

What you get

One system for your whole centre.

Tests, marking, results, branches, batches and fees are all in the same account. Your staff only have to learn one system.

Build your own tests

Put together full IELTS tests from your own questions. Question numbers run on correctly across sections, and the preview is the same screen your students will see.

Watch the room

See every seat from one screen. Anything odd is flagged, and a person decides what it was.

Help with marking

For Writing and Speaking the system suggests a band with its reasons. Your examiner agrees, changes it or rejects it.

Exam day

When a parent questions a result, you can show them.

The system only points things out. One of your staff checks each flag, and their decision is saved with the test.

  • The computer only runs the test

While the test is on, students can't use shortcuts, take screenshots, switch windows, plug in a second screen or open other programs.

  • The system flags it. A person decides.

Turn on camera checks and a second face or an empty seat raises a flag. A named member of staff looks at it and writes down what they decided.

  • You can show who did what

Every test keeps a record: when it started, any flags, who checked them, who marked it and the final band. You can download it if a parent asks.

No band goes out until one of your examiners has looked at it. The system can suggest a band and explain why. Your examiner makes the decision.

No. Students and parents see your web address, your logo, your colours and emails from your address. That covers the test screens, the results and the PDF reports.

Free pilot, before launch

See it work with your own students, in your own centre.
